The approach

A calm, light home, finished room by room

The aim was a home that feels finished in every corner. A light oak effect floor runs through the living spaces, the walls are kept white, and the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms share the same soft palette of pale grey, white and warm timber.

Storage is built in wherever it fits: tall wardrobes in the bedrooms, storage beds, a desk nook with shelving, and a full run of shaker cabinetry in the kitchen. In the living room a slatted timber media wall frames the TV beside the original fireplace.

One palette through the home

Pale grey, white and warm oak, so every room feels part of the same property.

Storage built in, not added on

Fitted wardrobes, a desk nook and full height kitchen units keep the rooms clear.

Two finished wet rooms

A shower room and a bathroom, each with marble effect tiling and wall hung fittings.

Scope of works

Everything handled by one team

No separate plumber, electrician and tiler to coordinate. We managed every trade and every stage of this renovation, in the right order.

  • Protection & strip out

Floors, stairs and access routes protected. Old finishes, fittings and waste removed.

  • Structural & layout changes

Walls, openings and structural work carried out to the agreed drawings.

  • First fix services

Plumbing, heating and electrics rerun to suit the new layout.

  • Plastering & floors

Walls and ceilings plastered, floors levelled and prepared for finishes.

  • Kitchens, bathrooms & joinery

Kitchen, bathrooms and built in joinery installed and finished.

  • Second fix, decoration & handover

Fittings, lighting and decoration completed, then snagged together before handover.

How we manage a full house renovation

Clear from the first visit to the final check

On a whole house project, what worries homeowners most is not the finishes. It is the coordination, the disruption and whether the job finishes as agreed. This is how we run it.

  1. Site visit

We see the property, check access, structure and services, and talk through what you want the space to do.

  2. Written proposal

A clear, itemised quotation. What is included, what is not, and who is responsible for what, agreed before we start.

  3. Planning & approvals

Drawings, approvals, materials and lead times confirmed, so the build runs in the right order.

  4. The build

Carried out in sequence by our own team, with each stage checked before the next one starts.

  5. Updates you can follow

One point of contact throughout. You know what is happening this week and when we need a decision from you.

  6. Snagging & handover

We walk the finished project with you and resolve any points before we sign it off.

FAQs

Full renovation in St John’s Wood: your questions answered

Can’t see your question? Call 020 3576 7307 or message us on WhatsApp.

How much does a full renovation cost in St John’s Wood?

It depends on the size of the property, how much structural and layout work is involved, the condition of the services, and the kitchen, bathroom and joinery specification.

After a site visit we give you an itemised written quotation, broken down room by room, so you can see where the budget goes before anything is agreed.

Can you renovate a flat in a managed building?

Yes. Many London flats sit in buildings with a managing agent, rules on working hours and a licence to alter. We plan around those requirements from the start and keep neighbours and the building informed.

Can we renovate in stages?

Yes. Some clients renovate the whole home at once, others room by room. We plan the order so services and structural work are done first, which avoids redoing finished rooms later.

Do you manage the whole project, or do I need separate trades?

We manage the whole renovation: structural work, plumbing, heating, electrics, plastering, flooring, kitchens, bathrooms, joinery and decoration. You deal with one team and one point of contact.

How long will the project take?

It depends on the size of the property, the amount of structural work and lead times on materials. We confirm a realistic programme after the site visit and review it with you as the work progresses.

Do you work with my architect or designer?

Yes. Where an architect, structural engineer or designer is involved, we build to their drawings and coordinate with them throughout. If you do not have one yet, we can talk through what the project needs and who to involve.

Can we live at home while the work is carried out?

Often, yes, depending on the scope. We plan the programme so you know when water, power or access will be affected, protect the rest of the home and keep the site tidy. For the largest projects we discuss at the site visit whether moving out for part of the build makes sense.

Which areas do you cover?

We are based in West Hampstead and complete full renovations across London, including St John’s Wood, Maida Vale, Hampstead, Kensington, Chiswick and Bow. Send us your postcode to confirm.
