The approach

Period character with a sharper, modern edge

The house keeps its Victorian bones: cast iron fireplaces, cornicing, sash windows and panelled doors. Around them, the renovation adds a modern edge, with a staircase painted black, deep coloured doors and white walls that let the original details stand out.

New rooms are filled with daylight. Roof lights sit over the stairwell, landing and shower, and the kitchen opens to the garden through black framed glazed doors. Handmade look white tiles, black worktops and brushed brass taps carry through the kitchen and bathrooms.

How we manage a full house renovation

Clear from the first visit to the final check

On a whole house project, what worries homeowners most is not the finishes. It is the coordination, the disruption and whether the job finishes as agreed. This is how we run it.

  1. Site visit

We see the property, check access, structure and services, and talk through what you want the space to do.

  2. Written proposal

A clear, itemised quotation. What is included, what is not, and who is responsible for what, agreed before we start.

  3. Planning & approvals

Drawings, approvals, materials and lead times confirmed, so the build runs in the right order.

  4. The build

Carried out in sequence by our own team, with each stage checked before the next one starts.

  5. Updates you can follow

One point of contact throughout. You know what is happening this week and when we need a decision from you.

  6. Snagging & handover

We walk the finished project with you and resolve any points before we sign it off.

FAQs

Victorian house renovation in Ealing: your questions answered

Can’t see your question? Call 020 3576 7307 or message us on WhatsApp.

How much does a full house renovation cost in Ealing?

It depends on the size of the house, whether a loft or extension is included, the condition of the services and the specification of the kitchen, bathrooms and joinery.

After a site visit we give you an itemised written quotation, broken down by stage, so you can see where the budget goes before anything is agreed.

Can you restore original Victorian features?

Yes. We keep and restore fireplaces, cornicing, sash windows and period doors where they are worth saving, and plan the new work around them.

Can the loft, extension and renovation be done as one project?

Yes, and it usually saves time. One team runs one programme, so the structure, services and finishes follow in the right order across the whole house.

Do you manage the whole project, or do I need separate trades?

We manage the whole renovation: structural work, plumbing, heating, electrics, plastering, flooring, kitchens, bathrooms, joinery and decoration. You deal with one team and one point of contact.

How long will the project take?

It depends on the size of the property, the amount of structural work and lead times on materials. We confirm a realistic programme after the site visit and review it with you as the work progresses.

Can we live at home while the work is carried out?

Often, yes, depending on the scope. We plan the programme so you know when water, power or access will be affected, protect the rest of the home and keep the site tidy. For the largest projects we discuss at the site visit whether moving out for part of the build makes sense.

Do you deal with planning permission and Building Regulations?

We work with your architect on the drawings and approvals, and arrange Building Control inspections at the right stages of the build, so the work is signed off properly at the end. Party wall matters are handled through a party wall surveyor where needed.

Do you cover Hanwell, Ealing and West London?

Yes. We are based in West Hampstead and complete renovations across London, including Hanwell, Ealing, Acton and Chiswick. Send us your postcode to confirm.
