The approach

Curves, colour and craftsmanship

Curved walls are where tiling skill shows. Narrow glossy green tiles, laid vertically, follow the curve smoothly, and the natural variation in the glaze catches the light differently across the room. Underfoot, a marble hexagon mosaic runs across the floor and bench.

A wet room lives or dies on what sits under the tiles. The floor is laid to fall towards the drain and the whole wet area is waterproofed before a single tile goes down. That is the part you never see, and the part that matters most.

Curved walls, tiled by hand

Vertical tiles follow the curve cleanly, with even joints from floor to ceiling.

Built from the waterproofing up

Floor laid to falls towards the drain and the wet area waterproofed before tiling.

Original features kept

An exposed brick recess keeps a piece of the building’s character inside the new room.

Scope of works

Everything handled by one team

No separate plumber, electrician and tiler to coordinate. We managed every trade and every stage of this wet room, in the right order.

  • Protection & strip-out

Floors and access routes protected. The old room removed and waste cleared from site.

  • First fix plumbing

Drain position, supply runs and concealed valves set out for the wet room layout.

  • First fix electrics

Lighting, extraction and towel rail connections wired to the agreed layout.

  • Floor to falls & waterproofing

Floor formed to fall to the drain. Walls and floor waterproofed before tiling.

  • Tiling

Curved walls tiled vertically, mosaic floor and bench laid, niche lined up with the courses.

  • Second fix & handover

Controls, towel rail and lighting fitted, then snagged together before handover.

How we manage a bathroom renovation

Clear from the first visit to the final check

The part homeowners worry about most is not the tiles. It is the disruption, the communication and whether the job finishes as agreed. This is how we run it.

  1. Site visit

We see the room, check access and existing services, and talk through how you want the bathroom to work.

  2. Written proposal

A clear, itemised quotation. What is included, what is not, and who supplies what, agreed before we start.

  3. Planning & ordering

Sanitaryware, brassware and tiles confirmed and ordered, so the build is not held up waiting for materials.

  4. The build

Protection, strip-out, first fix, waterproofing, tiling and second fix, carried out in sequence by our own team.

  5. Updates you can follow

One point of contact throughout. You know what is happening this week and when we need a decision from you.

  6. Snagging & handover

We walk the finished room with you and resolve any points before we sign it off.

FAQs

Wet rooms in London: your questions answered

Can’t see your question? Call 020 3576 7307 or message us on WhatsApp.

How much does a wet room cost in London?

It depends on the size of the room, the floor construction, where the drain can go, and the tiles and fittings you choose. A wet room needs more preparation than a standard bathroom, because the floor has to be formed to falls and the whole area waterproofed.

After a site visit we give you an itemised written quotation, so you can see where the budget goes before anything is agreed.

What is the difference between a wet room and a walk-in shower?

A walk-in shower uses a tray and usually a glass screen. In a wet room the floor itself is the shower tray: it is laid to fall towards a drain and the whole area is waterproofed, so the room is level and open with no step.

Will a wet room leak?

Not when it is built properly. The risk sits in the preparation: the fall of the floor, the drain, and waterproofing that covers the floor and walls before tiling. We treat those stages as the most important part of the job.

Can any bathroom become a wet room?

Many can, but it depends on the floor construction and where the waste can run. On timber floors and in upstairs rooms, we check the joists and drain route at the site visit before recommending a wet room or a low-profile walk-in shower.

Do you manage everything, or do I need separate trades?

We manage the whole bathroom: protection, strip-out, plumbing, electrics, preparation, waterproofing, tiling, fitting and decoration. You deal with one team and one point of contact, not a plumber, an electrician and a tiler working to different schedules.

How long does a complete bathroom renovation take?

Timescales depend on the scope, any layout changes and lead times on materials. We confirm a realistic programme after the site visit, and we order key items before work starts so the build is not left waiting on deliveries.

Will my home be protected while you work?

Floors and routes through the property are protected before strip-out, dust is controlled, and the site is left tidy at the end of each day. Clients regularly mention in reviews how clean the team kept their home.

Which areas do you cover?

We are based in West Hampstead and build wet rooms and bathrooms across North and North West London, including Cricklewood, Kilburn, West Hampstead, Hampstead and St John’s Wood. Send us your postcode if your area is not listed.
