The approach

A calm, bright bathroom that is easy to live with every day

The room gets its daylight through a full height obscured glazed screen. The design works with that light rather than against it. Pale, veined porcelain runs across the walls and floor, so the room reads as one continuous surface and feels larger than its footprint.

Black was used with discipline. The shower screen frame, the brassware, the mirror and the glazing bars all share the same matt black, which gives the room a clean architectural line without clutter.

Open, walk in shower

A single fixed screen keeps the shower open and easy to step into, with nothing to slide or catch.

Clear floor, hidden services

A wall hung WC with a concealed cistern keeps pipework out of sight and the floor quick to clean.

One feature, done well

A textured stone effect mosaic wall behind the basin adds depth without competing with the rest of the room.

Scope of works

Everything handled by one team

No separate plumber, electrician and tiler to coordinate. We managed every trade and every stage of this bathroom, in the right order.

  • Protection & strip out

Floors and access routes protected. The old bathroom removed and waste cleared from site.

  • First fix plumbing

New supply and waste runs, concealed valve and WC frame set out before a tile goes on.

  • First fix electrics

Downlights, extractor and any power positions wired to the agreed layout.

  • Preparation & waterproofing

Walls boarded and levelled. The shower area waterproofed before tiling.

  • Tiling

Large format porcelain set out and laid with straight lines and tight, consistent joints.

  • Second fix & handover

Sanitaryware, brassware, glass and lighting fitted, then snagged together before handover.

How we manage a bathroom renovation

Clear from the first visit to the final check

The part homeowners worry about most is not the tiles. It is the disruption, the communication and whether the job finishes as agreed. This is how we run it.

  1. Site visit

We see the room, check access and existing services, and talk through how you want the bathroom to work.

  2. Written proposal

A clear, itemised quotation. What is included, what is not, and who supplies what, agreed before we start.

  3. Planning & ordering

Sanitaryware, brassware and tiles confirmed and ordered, so the build is not held up waiting for materials.

  4. The build

Protection, strip out, first fix, waterproofing, tiling and second fix, carried out in sequence by our own team.

  5. Updates you can follow

One point of contact throughout. You know what is happening this week and when we need a decision from you.

  6. Snagging & handover

We walk the finished room with you and resolve any points before we sign it off.

FAQs

Bathroom renovation in Hampstead: your questions answered

Can’t see your question? Call 020 3576 7307 or message us on WhatsApp.

How much does a bathroom renovation cost in Hampstead?

It depends on the size of the room, whether the layout changes, the condition of what is behind the walls and floor, and the tiles, sanitaryware and brassware you choose. A complete renovation like this one involves strip out, new plumbing and electrics, waterproofing, tiling and fitting, so it is priced as a full project, not a refit.

After a site visit we give you an itemised written quotation, so you can see exactly where the budget goes before anything is agreed.

How long does a complete bathroom renovation take?

Timescales depend on the scope, any layout or structural changes, and lead times on materials. We confirm a realistic programme with you after the site visit, and we order key items before work starts so the build is not left waiting on deliveries.

Do you manage everything, or do I need separate trades?

We manage the whole bathroom: protection, strip out, plumbing, electrics, preparation, waterproofing, tiling, fitting and decoration. You deal with one team and one point of contact, not a plumber, an electrician and a tiler working to different schedules.

Can you convert a bath into a walk in shower?

In most bathrooms, yes. We check the waste route, the floor construction and the water pressure at the site visit, then recommend the right tray or level access option and screen for the space.

Do you work with my architect or interior designer?

Yes. Where a designer or architect is involved, we build to their drawings and specification and coordinate with them on site. If you do not have a designer, we can talk through layout, finishes and practical options with you.

Who supplies the tiles, sanitaryware and brassware?

Either. We can source and supply items within the agreed scope, or fit items you have chosen yourself. Who supplies what is set out clearly in the written proposal before work begins, so there are no gaps or surprises.

Will my home be protected while you work?

Floors and routes through the property are protected before strip out, dust is controlled, and the site is left tidy at the end of each day. Clients regularly mention in reviews how clean the team kept their home.

Which areas do you cover for bathroom renovations?

We are based in West Hampstead and work across London, including Hampstead, Belsize Park, Highgate, St John’s Wood, Primrose Hill, Kentish Town, Camden, Maida Vale and West Hampstead. Send us your postcode if your area is not listed.
